I must have the most enjoyable job in the world. The satisfaction I get from getting people to dance and sing-along to my performances is just amazing.
I really enjoy the DJing aspect of the job too. I pride myself at playing the right type of music at the right time. I give the guests card and pens for their music requests.... This ensures that nobody has an excuse not to dance!.. and also that I cater for everyone's tastes.
I have been DJing and singing professionally now for nearly 10 years. Prior to that I had my own band in Manchester during the early 1990s. Upon moving to Edinburgh in the late 90s I sang in musicals, did a little amateur acting and took up public-speaking. I also had my own dance music show for a year on Black Diamond FM. So I am certainly not shy at getting the best from all types of audiences.
I have performed at nearly 500 events. My corporate clients include: Standard Life; The Royal Bank of Scotland and I am regularly booked by W.L. Gore (Goretex) for their annual events. As well as hosting local gala days I have DJd at the closing party for the Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF).
I adapt my singing sets to suit the needs of each event. This ensures that you and your guests will always be guaranteed a superb mix of modern and classic hits. As most bookings are made a year in advance I like to work closely with you to ensure that any special songs are included in the repertoire
I am a complete audiophile and strive for the best quality sound in all environments. My ultra-modern system has digitally-controlled lights so I can set them to match the mood of the music. It is a state-of-the-art audio system with hi-fi/studio quality equipment: It incorporates some of the technologies that are normally associated with touring bands. I use specialist sound-optimisers that remove any rogue frequencies, echo and feedback caused by the shape of the room. I also don't play mp3s - I use wav files so there is no reduction in sound quality.
